Since I have the week off (February break), I have been able to spend a lot of time reading and writing. At the moment I am reading two books parallelly; Paul Auster’s Winter Journal and Charles Dickens Oliver Twist.

For me, Paul Auster is the greatest of them all. About ten years ago when I was 19, I read the New York trilogy and fell completely in love with the book instantly. No other book had stayed in my mind for so long after reading it and I just kept coming back to it in my head; the philosophical questions it raised in me, the odd twists of fate, the prose that just flowed so beautifully that I never wanted the book to end.
